Have been going into this restaurant for many years and have always had a good meal there, with good typical Spanish food. Don't be fooled by the word pizzeria in the restaurant name, they do loads more types of food than pizzas.  Can recommend the El Fogon restaurant in La Mata to anyone, also, because it's right on the La Mata beachfront, if you sit outside (in the warm sunshine), you'll have fantastic sea views."

Wonderful surroundings, beautiful views over beach and coast. It's fair sized and a large sunny terrace.

The quality of food and the service were excellent.

My family and I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

And all this, for really reasonable prices.

El Italiano is open daily from 18.00h, although from November will close on Wednesdays throughout the winter."

Comments - "I do like a good steak meal, and the Tango restaurant definitely does a good steak meal, but have also tried their other meals as well, and they have been equally good - have recommended this restaurant in La Mata to friends going to La Mata on holiday and they say exactly the same - the Tango restaurant in La Mata is brilliant.  Don't miss the Tango dance nights on Fridays and Saturdays from 8.30pm to midnight, they're excellent.
This restaurant is right on the La Mata beachfront, so you can have fantastic seaviews while you eat!

Comments - "If you're looking for any good places to eat in La Mata, this is it. The food in Zana Kebab is absolutely delicious!!
 When we stayed in a holiday apartment by the beach in La Mata, Zana Kebab was only a few 100 yards from the apartment, so didn't have far to go for good food.  The kebabs there are excellent and the other meals there are very good as well.
Also good service from the helpful and friendly staff.  You can either sit inside the restaurant, or sit outside, just a couple of yards to the beach, looking out to sea. Brilliant.  To find the kebab restaurant, walking away from the main Church square in La  Mata, and walking alongside the beach, with the beach on your left, go past a few other bars and restaurants there on the right and you'll see Zana Kebab just on the far corner at the end on the right."

Comments - "Have to agree with the comments above. Have always enjoyed the meals at Zanas kebabs in La Mata.  They do other meals apart from kebabs, but every meal I've had there over the years of all types, has always been really good.
There's quite a few Chinese, Indian, German, Italian and Spanish restaurants in La Mata, but this is the only kebab restaurant in La Mata that we've found.  When myself and my husband are on holiday in La Mata (we go for 2 weeks, twice a year), going out for a meal every couple of days, we try get to Zanas at least once a week.  The next time you go in there, say hello from us 'Karen and Steve from Clifton in Nottingham'.
Also, when we've been back to La Mata over the winter, it's even been warm enough some days, to just sit outside with a nice meal and drink and look out to sea across the beach in the early evening."
