Comments - "This Chinese restaurant is right around the corner of the Vistamar apartment block which is on Calle Virgen del Carmen.  We had excellent food there, the duck is delicious. My daughter had sushi, they have Japanese on the menu also. The service was excellent and the price was brilliant value for money. Highly recommend this restaurant!

This bistro can be found down the steps at the end of the row of bars and restaurants next door to "Don Federicos". The La Mata/Torrevieja bus stops right outside.

Wonderful surroundings, beautiful views over beach and coast. It's fair sized and a large sunny terrace.

The quality of food and the service were excellent.

Fantastic for steaks, fish meals, as well as typical Italian dishes and fresh made pizzas.

My family and I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

And all this, for really reasonable prices.

El Italiano is open daily from 18.00h, although from November will close on Wednesdays throughout the winter

Comments - "If you're looking for any good places to eat in La Mata, this is it. The food in Zana Kebab is absolutely delicious!!
When we stayed in a holiday apartment by the beach in La Mata, Zana Kebab was only a few 100 yards from the apartment, so didn't have far to go for good food.
The kebabs there are excellent and the other meals there are very good as well.
Also good service from the helpful and friendly staff.
You can either sit inside the restaurant, or sit outside, just a couple of yards to the beach, looking out to sea. Brilliant.
To find the kebab restaurant, walking away from the main Church square in La  Mata, and walking alongside the beach, with the beach on your left, go past a few other bars and restaurants there on the right and you'll see Zana Kebab just on the far corner at the end on the right.

Comments - "Have to agree with the comments above. Have always enjoyed the meals at Zanas kebabs in La Mata.  They do other meals apart from kebabs, but every meal I've had there over the years of all types, has always been really good.
There's quite a few Chinese, Indian, German, Italian and Spanish restaurants in La Mata, but this is the only kebab restaurant in La Mata that we've found.  When myself and my husband are on holiday in La Mata (we go for 2 weeks, twice a year), going out for a meal every couple of days, we try get to Zanas at least once a week.
The next time you go in there, say hello from us 'Karen and Steve from Clifton in Nottingham'.
Also, when we've been back to La Mata over the winter, it's even been warm enough some days, to just sit outside with a nice meal and drink and look out to sea across the beach in the early evening.
