It's hard to talk about La Mata without talking about the excellent beaches, without doubt, some of the best beaches in Spain are in La Mata - the beaches at La Mata have held the European Blue Flag for several years, for cleanliness, water quality and safety.

Crowded beaches?? Not in La Mata! The photo above, of one of the beaches in La Mata was taken in the summer of last year. When you get to the beach at La Mata, just walk a few minutes north and you'll see miles and miles of empty beaches.
